Item: Concrete DIY Kit 'Be a Maker'

Background: The trend of handmade and DIY raised dramatically in these few years, handmade product become more and more popular in Hong Kong. Environmental issues are also one of the major concerns in today's society. It is noticed that DIY kit is a interaction and education channel for designers to their consumers. Something new may come out when DIY having fusion with  environmental considerations.​

Design: The DIY Kit aims to inspire and encourage people to act green by sustaining their used products. Through participation of the DIY process, people could learn how to make use of ready-made products and reproduce a usable product, e.g. using the packaging as a mould.

 

Different Shapes of Grey DIY Kit is just like a seed, reminding people to build up an environmentally friendly habit.

500 ml White Concrete Cement

330 ml Sand

250 ml Measuring Glass

A Reusable Stirrer

120 grit Sandpaper

80 grit Sandpaper
